For some time now, blogging has been a fantastic way to earn some extra money online for me. We see that numerous full-time bloggers are making thousands of dollars per month from ads on their blog. The question is, can we also become a bit like them?
Do we at least have a chance to make maybe 10% of their income? Do we also have courage for getting successful like them? Well, all these questions can have a ‘no’ and ‘yes’ answer, it all depends on ourselves, our commitments, the way we want to see ourselves working in future, our current living situation, and so on.
But what about a part-time internet newbie like I am? Do I also have a chance? The answer is a short yes! But keep in mind that writing a blog is not at all easy, and to find or write compelling content isn’t easy as well. Attracting traffic to your site is also a challenging task, more difficult, and getting an audience to stick to your website and read your blog is probably the worst part.
Apart from blogging, what other options do you have? For me, I have several choices that I implemented and started to generate some income for me. These choices are web directory and article directory. I have a couple of them and I’m pretty happy with the results so far.
So you’re in the exam and waiting for the invigilator to say “you may turn over your exam papers and begin”. Nerves will be building and thoughts of all the study you have or have not done will be creeping into your mind. Here are some steps to make sure you get the most out of what you’ve done before the exam.
Also for me, taking tests will be more challenging as I’ve just started my humble online “business” by having adds on my other blog (I’ll tell you in a later post more about it), so I really have to set my mind on exam prep. Check out this video that covers some mistakes that should really be avoided. I know, it’s only January and most exams are still a few months away, but get well prepared for your exams and you may learn a lot from this video:
1. Read the entire exam paper twice
An obvious point, but the temptation will be strong to make a start on the first question you recognize. It’s important to take time at the start of the exam to read all the questions. This gives you a chance to calm down and settle into the exam. Also, it means you will actively see all the questions, and re-reading the questions will give you the opportunity to see if questions are harder or easier than you first thought.
Looking to get your career going, but don’t know where to start? There’s a ton of information out there. Some of it’s good, and some of it… not so much. Since I decided to change my career, I’ve hit just about every roadblock out there. So now let’s take a look at “How to Motivate Yourself for School-the Education Quest”.
Now that I know they’re there, there’s no reason that you should have to run into the same problems. First of all, make sure that you are qualified. If not, go back to school and get the credentials you need. But the idea of going back to school was terrifying at first.
Many people have plenty of opportunities, free schools, yet they never got their HS or GED diploma. I know something about it, I was there myself. First, you try every resource that offers free prep. But these paid classes are expensive especially if you have no job so you end up looking for excuses. Fortunately, with the internet on your phone, you can follow BestGEDClasses online courses for example and get the GED (General Education Development) Test Certificate.
But back to what we were talking about, and it’s right. I hate social intervention. I break out into cold sweats just thinking about all of those people and all of those possible interactions.
Desperate to fill vacant teacher slots, Oak Knoll Elementary School principal Iris Moran signed up three years ago for a program that brings teachers from foreign lands to U.S. schools.
The intent of the Visiting International Faculty (VIF) program is cultural exchange, but Moran says her initial purpose ”was almost just to help the situation” at her East Point, Ga., school — to replace teachers lost to retirement or maternity leave. Only now does she appreciate how enriching it is to have teachers from such countries as Chile, Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand, Jamaica, and Australia, despite the fact that our President wants to close our borders to foreigners.
Other schools have taken similar routes to help fill a looming teacher shortage that experts say will require 2.2 million teachers over the next decade. The problem is compounded by the dearth of teachers in math and science — the two subjects in which U.S. students are the weakest when compared with peers in other countries. Many U.S. schools are pushing to recruit foreign teachers who can help remedy both problems:
* Chicago, the nation’s third-largest school district and the second-largest employer in Illinois, is looking for 3,500 new teachers for this school year. More than 130 teachers have been hired since August from 35 countries, including Japan, India, Colombia, Pakistan, Ghana, Jamaica, and Mexico.
The decision to take an online class or a traditional class depends on the person deciding, what it is they expect to get from a class and the type of environment they need to be successful. If you are a student that needs constant instruction and the cracking of the whip from your professor an online class may not be for you. The impact of online education is more relevant for the independent student who just needs to be given an outline of the course with the assignments and their due dates to be successful.
The effectiveness of the online class will also depend highly on the type of student that is considering taking an online class. If you prefer a one on one encounter with your teacher and your peers, you may feel isolated while taking an online class. This may cause you to become bored and in turn not give your all to your class. Or you may find yourself just doing the assignments for the sake of getting them done and getting a good grade and not retain any of the information.
The education that you need to have will depend on the career that you are going into. You will be able to get most of what you need whenever you are going to community college courses. Of course, you might need to make sure that you are getting what you will need so that you will be able to pay to go to college. So what does community college cost per year on average?
So when you’ve completed your high school curriculum comes the time when you will need to make sure that you are looking at what you are paying to go to college. The majority of the colleges you will be able to attend to will allow you to pay a very small amount to go to college. The important thing to make sure of is how much you will pay at any given time.
Paying By Course
Whenever you are going to community college, you will need to pay for the courses that you are taking. Each course will have a pay which is attached to it. Make sure that you are not only getting the courses that you will need for your degree. You will also need to make sure that you are getting the help you will need to afford what you are taking.
In 2009, I was probably a lot like you. I owned my first small business (I was a painting contractor) and I worked my butt off, yet… when it came to getting new customers, I was pretty clueless. I quickly came to the painful realization that the skills that allowed me to be successful as a painter, were absolutely useless when it came to attracting qualified prospects.
Back then, I didn’t understand that “marketing” and performing the technical aspect of what you do for a living, are two mutually exclusive skill sets. But over time, I discovered that one without the other–renders your business virtually useless, and it grinds any progress you might otherwise be making, along with your cash—flow—to—a–screeching –halt.
But let’s face it, getting qualified leads is a challenge for most entrepreneurs. However, I simply couldn’t understand why every single ad I ran…and every single postcard and mailer I sent out…never worked.
Middle school is a perfect time to plan for your gifted child’s high school education. ‘AH-HA’ moments can help. Experiencing an “AH-HA” moment can be unique and special for each individual. It’s a point in time when one realizes something for the first time. Perhaps solving a personal problem or finding the answer to something that has been very troubling.
When an “AH-HA” moment occurs, it is usually accompanied with satisfaction, joy, or a sense of accomplishment. Look for those special moments, they are wonderful and will be remembered for a long time.
When an “AH-HA” moment happens, you will know that something special is about to happen for you. If you are in middle school, you know it’s time to make important decisions about high school. Some of those decisions you will make for yourself. However, you’ll be smart enough to know that there are some things for which you must depend on mom and dad. If you’re lucky enough to have an “AH-HA” moment during the planning, you may know just what you want to do in high school.

Is more education the answer, I wonder, as I scroll through the job postings on Craigslist on my super fancy iPhone, a ‘congrats college graduate!’ gift from my parents. I’m reading ad after ad, each sounding like the hand of God reaching down to save me from the dismal abyss that has become my life, but alas, I’m always just a letter or two shy of being the perfect candidate. So I ask myself, should I dig my debt hole even deeper?
Do I really need another set of initials that supposedly decides my worth? BA, MA, JD, Ph.D.?. OMG, will those letters rearrange to spell fulfilling, high paying job with flexible hours and great benefits? Who knows!
All I know is the first degree didn’t spell anything worthwhile, it amounted to something that sounded like ‘nope, try again’ and it landed me right back where I started, in the pink-walled room that I grew up in. Man did life throw me for a loop!
